Look at the pretty floor

Yeah its done (it does have a mirror it wasnt up here though)

Wow - I am really behind these days I havn't really been feeling "computery" and I really don't have a choice cause I have to use Alex's computer and he has been on it alot these days. We have been having a pretty good month. For Thanksgiving we had a really nice time up at a B and B in Sedona and then we went and celebrated the Holiday with all four of our parents. We also managed to finish the bathroom so it is nice and neat now so that feeling of accomplishment has settled in, however Alex wants to start tearing up the other one soon so I'm trying to soak in the relaxing feeling while I can. In December we have been staying relatively close to home as it has been pretty chilly lately and the rain has been coming down a lot. We did celebrate Romeo's birthday this past weekend and all of the Delacruz family was together again. I think the last time that happend was when Rob and Nadia came to visit last December, however Kurt was able to join us this time as well so it was a really nice time having everyone together. We played laser tag and then had some Ethiopian food, yogurt. Here are some pics of what has been going on..

Catch up

Nadia stickin her toes in Apache Lake
At the Roosevelt lake

The canyon on the way up ther

Laying tile

I always have to play a little catch up whenever I blog somehow I am always behind... Anyhow several weeks have gone by since my last post and I think stuff has happened but what... let me see. Well last weekend we didn't really do anything and the weekend was over before I knew it. Well we did go and see a movie, and then went to Frys electronic and Alex bought himself a cute little helicopter which he has been playing with all week. He has even attempted to fly it indoors and that hasn't turned out so well. This weekend we went and saw the long anticipated James Bond movie and it wasn't that Bondish to tell you the truth, I was a little disappointed to be quite honest. We also took a little trip over to Roosevelt Lake and we passed a couple of lakes on the way out there as well. We had our picnic at Canyon lake and then I think there was an Apache lake in there too. We are finishing up on our closet bathroom so glad because the living room has alot of junk in it right now, will be nice to get it back to normal downstairs. Anhow here are some picts enjoy

Moving Day
In the neighbors yard

Moving in celebration dinner

Alex's fat lip

Hello all-
Thought I'd blog a bit to catch you all up on everything. Have had a good week accomplished alot at work and not so much at home but I do plan to clean out the fridge today. It is really disgusting, Alex will pull something out of the fridge and look at it critically and put it back in the fridge, sometimes he will gag and through whatever it was away, but it has been a while since I did a thorough job of it. Yesterday went with Rob and Nadia as their guide, to Ikea (to bad I cant see a darn thing cause my glasses are on top of the San Francisco Peaks and I "guided them off a wrong exit), we made there in spite of that and they did get some new stuff for the apartment. The other day Alex was playing tennis and smacked himself in the lip, ( I don't know how he managed that) he is finally back to normal. Other than that nothing much else has been happening. Enjoying the terrific fall weather, it is so beautiful now.

This weekend we went to the snowbowl in Flagstaff to see the fall colors, unfortunatley most of the colors had already faded for the year but we did get to see some fantastic scenery, here are some pictures The ski lift on the way up

Alex "hiking"

What are we doing
My new flowers
My new flower bed
Happy Wednesday!! It is a good day, though I did start off the day by writing Thursdays date on everything. I am excited to watch my shows tonight.... (I know what you'all thinking) but I can't help myself . First there comes Top model followed by Private Practice and to wrap things up Lipstick Jungle ah the drama. Yesterday Nadia bought me the pink vine for the little tiny garden. Hopefully it spreads and climbs up over the wall like its supposed to, if it does that it will be really pretty. I think I'm saving the corner over the far left for a fountain though I haven't decided what kind I will get yet. This weekend was fairly uneventful we did finish the yard and that in itself is an accomplishment. Alex had this idea to drive out to the wilderness and haul dirt so we could fill up the flower bed. I thought it would be a good idea until we started getting it off the side of the road, I was utterly mortified. It looked as though we were dumping our garbage or we were burying the dead, to all the other motorist that passed our way and it seemed like a million passed our way. I don't know what I'm going to do with Alex some times :) This weekend we are going up to Flagstaff and riding the ski lift up and down the mountain to look at the fall colors, pretty excited to do that since I have never been and it will be fun to get out of the valley anyhow I'll keep you posted on everything Toodles for now

Camping

Sunset after the rain
Alex building the perfect fire, Mom and Me

Camping .... I used to think, why do people do this, leave the comforts of home and come out to unfamiliar territory and sleep in make shift dwellings, that doesn't seem relaxing? Well I have had a change of heart, well kinda, I really enjoyed camping this weekend, even
Haleigh and Opie Eating hotdogs in the rain
with the sudden downpour and the grime under my fingernails I think all in all its not as bad as I used to think ( well as long as you don't have to do it for more than a couple days). It was nice to be able to build a campfire and stare for hours into the flickering that never is the same, nice to be able to sleep under the sky where the stars are actually visable and to listen to the water running and the crickets chirping but the most fun was being able to spend really uniterupted time with the people that I love most. To talk or not, the time of being able to just be close to each other, I think that is what camping is all about. love jordan

I am so not ready to start the new week:(
So Nights of Rodanthe was pretty much the same as any Nicolas Sparks novel, sure made me miss North Carolina, what little I know about it.... I would sure love to be able to have a house like that and be able to relax right on the ocean. A mountain or laundry has been sucessfullly completed, so glad that I have a washing machine to rely on I'm sure that if I didn't have one, one thing is for sure, I'd be re-wearing a lot of clothes as gross as that sounds.
We also drove our truck though the drive thu car wash it is so much fun a well spent $4. Also got my hair trimmed up. It was looking really straggely lately, I felt a little sorry for the the beautician when she looked at my head and asked me what I wanted to do. I told here basically take care of the whole thing, do something. She then asked me if I wanted a blow dry, to which I said yes and she asked me how I dry my hair, I asked her do I look like the kind of girl that drys her hair? Things get tangled up to easily, ie my arms and the hair dryer or the hair and the brush, so I got my blow dry and my hair is looking fabulous until I wash it then it will a mess again. Oh well !! Anyhow I'm tired and I'm going to go enjoy the last hour or so of the weekend.

The weekend has finally desended on me....Yeah!! I am so glad that we have these short windows to do things with the people that we love the most yet get to see the least. This weekend we are planning to go to a Beer fest/celebration with his boss over a prodject at work that has finally been launched sucessfully, and then we are planning to see the movie nights at Rodathane(?) don't exactly know if that's how you spell it, have been looking forward to it for a while though. We are also helping Nadia find and hopefully purchase a car, it will be so much nicer for her to have that luxury considering the bus systems are not that great here.

There has been a cute little calico cat that has been hanging around the house ( I did feed her some tuna and eggs much to alex's protests) I really do miss having pets around they have always seemed to be able to get me into a good mood, simply because they love you no mater what. I really hope that she sticks around ..... any how i'll write more later love to all

Today I woke and flipped on the TV, I dream of Jeannie was on, love that show, I watched or rather listened to it as I got ready for work, then headed out the door in a rush as always, don't know why I can't calmly walk out the door sometimes, After work today Nadia and I made some rice krispie treats today my first ever!! We made them more for Alex and Nadi than for myself, as I think I was born without a real taste for sweets, I would rather eat chips or bread anyday. I also went to the ranch market and picked up some fruits and veggies, always seem to find a pretty good deal there. Nadia and Alex are watching TV right now, I wonder what they are watching? HMMMM. I am looking at a table full of those yummy ranch market deals and they more I look at them the more disenchanted I feel about putting them all away. Okay Okay I think I'll just have to bit the bullet or in this case the banana and do it.

Relaxing with Mom and Haleigh
Getting ready for dinner
Alex and Opie

I found the camera charger !!!! Yes !! Well to set the record perfectly straight Alex found the charger, so glad he did it is nice to be able to take pictures again. We went up to Prescott this weekend and saw Mom and Haleigh, havn't seen them for a while so we had a good time. Haleigh had arranged for a little birthday get together for John's birthday at the Texas Roadhouse, had never been there but it was good food, and the weather was perfect, so glad to see the summer head out. It seemed especially long this year. Here are some pictures of the weekend

I tried to post some new news the other day but I got a little sidetracked.... So here goes the news.
Last week found the Delacruz household fairly busting at the seams. Lani, Lynette, Nadia, me and Alex all under one roof, :) it was fun.
Lani was visiting before she left for Mexico she is planning on being gone just a bit so it was nice to have the time to catch up on all the stories. We are trying to finish the patio design for my little patio garden. We still need to get some rocks to construct a raised flower bed and then we can get some plants in. I have been wanting to do this for a long time so it is nice to see some steps being taken in that direction. We also painted a picture for the wall I had seen one of some goldfish that I had really liked and we all tried to duplicate it. I think we did a wonderful job but I am still wondering where to hang it hmmm?
I would post a picture of this but suddenly the charger for my camera battery is missing, I am planning on diligently searching for this as it is very frustrating to not be able to take some pictures ahahhh,!@#$%
Any how that is all for now here is a couple other pics from last weekend hopefully my searching will be fruitful and I will have additional pics to post later

New news

Greetings all-

Things have been going well here in the southern part of Arizona. Settling back into a routine after the vacation. On August 8, 2008 I celebrated my birthday! 08/08/08 pretty cool huh? That definitely won't happen again well probably not in my lifetime that is:). I did have some neat gifts and lots of phone calls with well wishes, it is nice that these people remember you on your birthday.Saturday Mom, Haleigh and Josh came down to celebrate with me for my birthday we tried out a new sushi restaurant "Ra" pretty good food there, I tried the veggie sushi and salmon skin sushi..mmm I don't know if the rest of them were as enthused about the sushi as I was but it was fun. After that we went and saw a movie about the mummy then browsed around the Bass Pro shop. I wanted to show Haleigh Fountain Hills so we went out there and watched the fountain go off a couple times. On the Sunday following my birthday, Nadia moved out from Maine to start working with me, since the other front office girl got a new job. She is doing fantastically well, learning lots I am trying to not over whelm her with all the info that is spilling out of my brain, I hope that I am not making the job to intimidating. Well thats about it for now I'll try to write some more later.... Peace out

Life in 3-D (yep that's how we roll)
And the oscar goes to .... Me!
Alex didn't want me turning around like this
The water was freezing !! Me Alex and Rob check out the Atlantic

So I have finally gotten to posting a new blog so long in the making I know but things have been a little hectic after we got back from vacation. Any how where did I leave off..... somewhere in Virgina?

I guess that is where I'll begin after we said goodbye to Lolita we headed off for Maine again and after driving for about 18 or so hours we arrived in the wee hours of the morning, Nadia had waited up for us so we chatted with her awhile before crashing. The next day we drove up to Wisscasset to see cousin Juan and wife Sarah, Grandma and Grandpa Brown, cousin Tyson, Aunt Narda, cousin Tasha the whole lot:) It was so fabulous seeing everyone. We stayed with Juan and Sarah and did a little kyaking down the Sheepscott river, BBQ'ed, went swimming in a beautiful lake, basically a lot of family time which was really nice. After the visit there we headed on our way down to Portland to stay with Nadia an Rob a couple days. We canoed out into a marsh which was very peaceful but alot of hard work! I had never paddled against a current like that; we had to rush it on the way back since the shop where we rented the canoes from was closing. On our way home we had to stop and pick some strawberries (see pics above) they were so delicous. We also got to get some new fish for Nadia and Rob's tank, it was really quite fun to pick out the fish you want and introduce him to a new water world. The fish are aptly named Jordan and Alex...... I really enjoyed feeding the fish almost to much actually, I found it quite entertaining to toss bits of food into the tank to see if they would eat it.
On Sunday we had to say goodbye to Maine and the next adventure would be New York. We made it down there in about 6 hours and then promptly got lost. Alex swears the signs were stolen....hmm. We finally found a hotel in Jersey and stayed there the night the next morning we hopped a train over to the city. It is amazing to think how many people live there. We rode the subway all over that city hitting all the touristy spots. ie Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, Ground Zero by the end of the day we were tired and ready to find the next sight we found our car amazingly without any problem and scooted down the road to Washington DC. The capital was a big difference from NYC but a big city in its own way we had fun checking out the Smithsonian, the capitol building, the national monument, the white house. I was surprised by all the joggers running around the front lawn (doesn't anyone have a job around here, I was thinking this). My favorite place was the next big stop on the map Nag's head North Carolina and the outer banks, could have stayed there much longer, alas it wasn't so for after 6 hours there it was in the car again all the way down to Florida after a couple days in Disney world we unfortunately had to board a plan for home :( I could have done alot more traveling another couple weeks at least. oh well I guess now I should plan the next one !!!
