My New Haircut

Well today is Thurdsay, almost the end of another week; its surprising how slow this week is going. Next thursday about this time we will be on a plane about 1 1/2 hours out of Orlando Florida. I can hardly wait. In preparation for this I decided to get my hair trimmed again, I did this last time before we went to Hawaii, I really love just sitting there getting my hair fixed it is really relaxing, I'm sure if Annie didn't talk to me I would just fall asleep. Anyhow I thought I'd post some pictures of the new (albeit pretty much the same hairstyle that Ive had for a while now) haircut. Today it has felt muggy and the dirty air seems much more so today, probably because of the wind anyhow I hope it rains soon, I really love the Arizona monsoon season.

Good evening to all-

What a terrifically hot day!! I am very grateful for AC on days like today don't exactly know the temperature but I know it was hot and I sure didn't spend anymore time outside than I had to (to and from the car was about the extent of the external exposure). Today work went well I got some things done that I needed to do before we head east ie. getting the bills ready for payment. I also have started paying the bills for the Delacruz household as well, so I paid the bills when I got home as too, sure glad I don't have to do that very often because it is quite depressing when you see your hard earned funds being depleting so quickly.
This weekend was very peaceful and refreshing we did make it out to see 2 new movies "Get Smart" and "The Love Guru" both were funny but I would recommend the first one first! Napping also took up a large part of both Saturday and Sunday:) sometime you need those lazy days to enjoy. I made enchiladas for Alex's lunch for this week and I will be makeing myself some salads both fruit and vegetable when I'm done with this post yumm !!
I am really contemplating a new hairstyle before we go on our trip. I am not quite sure of what I want though I was thinking short but then I don't know if I could get up the gumption to do that, I am really trying to expand my horizons though. Anyhow I must run the Bachelor is on shortly and I know that it is cheesy and silly but I must admit I'm addicted!

A good week.....

Here are some pictures from out anniversary
:)
So this past week has been a good week I have been feeling pretty good and have been enjoying fruit and rice again, yum. I can't believe how much I missed these options in my diet.
Last week we went up to Prescott and Rimrock and saw our dads for fathers day; it was a really nice visit seeing them. On Friday night we saw my dad and then Saturday we (Alex, Mom, Haleigh and me) went to Prescott to the Tsunami Festival in Prescott, it was an interesting show to watch, though I enjoyed watching 2 little boys that were playing with their dog and each other in front of us. Saturday night, Haleigh made a really good dinner for us all and then we headed over to Rimrock for the night. The next morning Alex gave his dad a weed puller/picker so of course we all had to see if it worked (it did!) after a afternoon of chatting and memories we came home. This week had been a pretty uneventful week though- I have enjoyed the peacefulness. This weekend we plan to watch some movies and relax;(probably stay indoors and out of the heat this weekend). Today Alex had another round of injections in his neck and the Dr said that this is possibly the last set of injections that he will have to endure. He has been doing really well these last couple weeks, no pain at all which is exciting since he has been in pain for the last 2 years. With Alex's recovery we hope to join a kick boxing class or some other activity to get us out of the house.... anyhow will write more later

Thing are going my way.......

Hello everyone-

Hope this blog finds everyone in good health and great spirits. Things have been somewhat out of sorts for me this month; have been trying to deal with everything with composure but some of the time I am finding that hard to do! Oh well I hope I learn a lesson from all my experiences and can relate to others with a little bit more compassion and empathy than I usually have.

Work this month has been it usual self I have gotten a lot of items cleared off my desk and I really do like working with Heidi Driggs my right hand :0). Its really nice to be able to trust someone to do things the right way (that sound like I'm so nitpicky about things and its true I am especially at work.) I have also been preparing for our vacation next month by writing down all the destinations that I would like to visit and then finding out as much as possible about them. So far I have the Barrier Island in Georgia, Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, Nags head, Kitty hawk, New York City is a whole package in itself; these are just few I think I may be a little busy this time around but I am really excited to get away from it all.

I really haven't been up to anything to exciting this month. Just relaxing trying to heal and help Alex with little things. We still haven't finished the bathtub but I am still not feeling up to it and I know it will definately be waiting when the time is right. Alex got this bright idea this past weekend on buying glass containers that he has pre-packed with meals for the week so he can just get up and go in the morning it is actually nice to look in the fridge and see that all taken care of. Alex has also been getting some inquires on his letters he sent out on land in North Carolina, so that has been exciting, if we can actually find any to purchase will be the truly exciting bit we'll see...

This month also marked Alex's 24th birthday on June 1st and our 3rd anniversary on the 5th. For Alex's birthday I had a plan for renting jet ski's but I didn't get it pulled togther because I needed to get a hitch installed on the pickup but come to find out it was a hitch that is rather expensive so I wrote Alex a list of goals that I had for myself (he had requested this a while ago) and then made him a card, I'll have to find someplace that rents jet skis on the way up the eastern coast to finish the celebration. Our anniversary was a very nice quite evening, I got Alex a watch and he got me an anniversary band we both loved them, I also got flowers and taken to the movies, Sex and the city which I found quite entertaining so I was rather spoiled :). Speaking of movies we actually have been frequenting the local Cinemark quite a bit, we saw Don't mess with the Zohan and I thought it was rather silly but I like going with Alex to these silly movies because I like watching him laugh.

Anyhow I better wrap up this my first blog! I hope to do this regulary and I hope you all enjoy reading about my little life here :) I love you all
